Yogacharya Sarathkumar, who is the founder of the Sivananda Yoga Centre at Calicut was a disciple of Swami Vishnu-devananda. Under the able tutelage of Swami Vishnu-devananda he diligently studied all the aspects of Yoga at the Sivananda Yoga Dhanwanthari Ashram at Neyyar Dam. He was accoladed the titles Yoga Shiromani and Yogacharya for his outstanding academic achievements. He has conducted several programs for the reputed institutions & organizations like Gandhigraham, Rotary International, Oisca International, Chest Hospital, Calicut Nursing College and several other private institutions. He has delivered numerous lectures on Yoga through the All India Radio and various other media. With years of experience to his credit, Sree Sarathkumar is viewed by his peers as an exponent of Yoga. His selfless devotion and non commercial attitude towards his profession distinguishes him from the numerous other practitioners of Yoga.
